West Coast Classics are proud to present a very nice driver quality example of this 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL roadster in its striking original factory 'Champagne Metallic' (Code 473) color paint with an new 'Fawn Brown' (Code 442) leather interior, original German factory Brown canvas soft top, factory alloy wheels, matching factory hard top and only 84K original and actual miles!
The car's factory options include: 5.6 liter OHC V8 engine, automatic transmission with torque converter, supplemental restraint system, anti-theft alarm system with radio theft deterrent, power assisted steering, cruise control, tinted glass, electric window lifts, electrically heated rear window on hard top, fully independent suspension, power assisted four wheel disc brakes, anti-lock braking system, light alloy wheels, limited slip differential, leather upholstery, adjustable bucket seats and head restraints, front center folding arm rest, leather covered steering wheel and gear selector, automatic antenna, Aerodynamic Halogen Head & Fog lamps, first aid kit and air conditioning with automatic climate control and central locking.
The original factory 'Champagne Metallic' paint is still in excellent condition but please note that there are certainly some signs of wear and aging with some oxidation and a couple of minor paint imperfections or scratches noticeable upon close inspection, also the original leather dashboard has a couple of minor cracks and there is a very small, maybe one inch in size, rust bubble forming on the driver side fender. The car has an all new and beautiful 'Dark Fawn' leather interior. The car has its original 'German canvas' factory Brown soft top which is still in very good condition and the car has its original and also factory matching hard top. As previously noted there is no rust on the car anywhere apart from the very minor bubbling shown in the photos on the one fender. Also please note that the Carfax report indicates an accident in 4/1999 but we see no evidence of any major damage or even where it might have occurred! The report is attached here.
A recent full service was performed at Mercedes Benz of Shrewsbury, MA at 83,284 miles showing service history including all new front brake pads and rotors, new rear brake pads and rotors, new brake hoses and calipers, new drag link, new intake manifolds, new valve cover gaskets, new seals, new control arms, new exhaust system, new drive belts, new tie rod ends, new steering shocks, new front end rebuild and alignment, new hood pad, oil & filter, new battery, etc nat a cost of $10,531.17. This recent service shows that no expense was spared on this particular's vehicles recent preventive maintenance. The car drives exactly like such a well maintained and serviced Mercedes should and must be seen and driven to be truly appreciated! The engine is extremely strong and the temperature always remains cool.
Without a doubt, this is one of the finest classically beautiful roadster designs built by Mercedes-Benz, probably the last classically beautiful convertible series they built and now becoming more desirable and collectible than ever before - certainly this is one very nice daily driving example with only 84K actual miles!
