The car was originally sold to it's original southern California owner from 'Clem Ruh Chevrolet' of Canoga Park, CA on 12/10/1982 where it was maintained as required over the years using only genuine Delorean Motor Company DMC OEM parts at the renown 'Delorean One' of Chatsworth CA and which was continued when sold to its most recent long time southern California owner who then primarily serviced the car at the renown 'DeLorean Motor Company' of Huntington Beach, CA where it recently received a clean bill of health with receipts showing that at no time was any expense spared on this particular car's preventive maintenance. The car has also boasts a clean Carfax report.
The car will be sold with it's original service records and original window sticker and selling dealer manuals etc. As previously stated the car has been supremely well maintained as necessary over the years and remarkably there are no splits in the car's leather seats which remain still supple, all the gauges and switches are working and the carpeting is not worn.
The Delorean's utilize a fiberglass underbody to which the stainless steel panels are bolted and are powered by a Peugeot/Renault/Volvo cast aluminum 174c.i. V6 engine mated to either a 3 speed automatic or 5 speed manual transmission. Absolutely none of the cars were painted at the factory. The light weight structure is glass reinforced plastic with totally rust proof stainless steel skins which will last forever. Over the years many cars have traveled past the 200K miles mark, a testament to the cars durability. Some have been sadly left to waste away or have been abused but then there are the few, like this particular example, with only 16K original miles and that have been lovingly garaged and well maintained for future generations to collect and enjoy.
