The car is in exceptional condition and the interior and the trim is also beautiful with virtually no real noticeable flaws! Importantly, the car has four virtually new 225/70R 15 'BF Goodrich TA' tires and working and rare factory air conditioning. Recently acquired with reportedly 13K original miles! All the options are working including all gauges and lights and the AC. The L82 Corvette had a designated fifth digit VIN number with a letter 'T' to designate the high performance 205HP V8 engine option instead of the regular letter 'J' for the 165HP 350 V8.

After Corvette's various legendary big block 396 with 425HP & the various 427 engines of the sixties, including the limited production L88 and then eventually the LS6 454 in 1971, Chevrolet continued production into the early seventies with the big block engine but by 1975 it was dropped from the Corvette range, as along with the rest of the industry, de-tuning to meet increasingly strict emissions testing regulations legislated out of existence virtually every American high performance car by the mid-seventies, with the Corvette alone remaining the almost sole choice for the muscle car enthusiasts. And so the Corvette continued with a pair of small block V8 engines, the standard L48 and the obviously more desirable and upgraded high performance L82 with performance oriented rear axle ratios. With its strong torque output and relatively light weight, this Corvette still provided strong performance and thrilling driving dynamics and equipped with this L82 option engine, the Corvette was one of the fastest cars in the U.S for 1975, rivaled only by the limited numbers of the Pontiac Trans Am of the same year.

This was to be the last year of convertible production for the Corvette until 1986 with the very last cars being built in late July 1975 like this particular example. The car was reportedly purchased from the widow of the original owner by the renown Corvette Mike dealership in Anaheim, CA, who consequently sold the car to only its second owner from whom we recently acquired the car. It was reportedly purchased by its original owner as part of his collection and stored with little use, hence the ultra low 13K original miles. Since being acquired from the original owner the car had been comprehensively serviced at Corvette Mike with the air conditioning having been fully upgraded with a new compressor to R134a, an all new exhaust system installed along with tires, belts, gaskets, seals, filters, thermostats,

This is obviously one very rare and highly desirable example of this classic American sports car - a completely rust and accident free 1975 Chevrolet Corvette with reportedly only two owners since new and believed to be only 13K original miles with rare factory air conditioning, power windows, power brakes, power steering, factory hard top and the high performance L82 engine option. An obviously always garaged and unabused example, the engine purrs under the hood and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly through the gears - an absolute pleasure to drive without any of the older Corvette typical shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any modern day sports car a run for its money!

Without a doubt you will look long and hard to find a finer example of this 'Mako Shark' C3 generation Corvette - perfect for the Corvette enthusiast to add to his collection or simply any classic American muscle car collector!
