1969 CADILLAC CALAIS 472/375HP V8 WITH 37K ORIGINAL MILES WITH ALL ORIGINAL PURCHASE DOCUMENTATION INCLUDING WINDOW STICKER & PROTECTO-PLATE & IN ORIGINAL 'SAN MATEO RED' COLOR WITH LIGHT FLAX CLOTH INTERIOR & FACTORY PW, PS, PB, P. SEATS & AC!!

West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional and rust free example of this rare low production (5,600 in 1969 compared to 65,755 for the DeVille) 1969 year of production of this mostly all original 1969 Cadillac Calais 2 Door Hardtop Coupe with all it's original factory specifications intact including it's original 472 c.i. 375 HP V8 engine with 37K original miles! It is loaded with factory options including climate control air conditioning ( a $516 option in 1969), power steering, power front disc brakes, power windows, power 6 way front seat ($115 option), soft-ray tinted glass ($52 option), Twin rubber floor mats ($16 option), cloth and vinyl seats with front center armrests, rear fender skirts, left side remote control outside rear view mirror, three speed windshield wipers and washers, front cornering lamps and AM radio ($162 option). All these options are still intact and working including the air conditioning which blows ice cold!

The 1969 Cadillac Calais is considered by enthusiasts as a very desirable late sixties Cadilac due to it's low production, 5,600 Calais's built versus 65,755 DeVille's built in 1969 and a virtually identical model when compared to the slightly better equipped De Ville model which cost $237 more, (although this particular example is obviously as suitably equipped as any DeVille with all the desirable factory options and which boasts the high grade vinyl and cloth interior as used on the top-of-the-line Buicks and Oldsmobiles!) and also for being the second to last year of production of the larger 472/375HP engine of the 1967-70 year models. The 1969 model was also restyled in the popular Eldorado image before receiving another facelift in 1970!

This particular example was purchased new by it's original owner at ‘Black Hills Oldsmobile Cadillac' of Rapid City, South Dakota but has spent most of its life in sunny Arizona and has obviously always been garaged from the elements! The car was sold on 6/27/1969 and still boasts its original window sticker, showing a MSRP of $5,484 with added factory options making a total sales price of $6,570.15, its dealer Pre-Delivery check sheet, New Vehicle Warranty Booklet, owners manual and Protecto-Plate! The car has no evidence or history of any accidents or damage and has obviously recently been very professionally repainted in it's original 'San Mateo Red Metallic’ color paint (Code 48) with its highly striking 'Light Flax Decameron Cloth and Vinyl bench seat interior still in beautiful original condition throughout! The car is a perfect addition to any Cadillac collector's collection or simply a fantastic example of this icon of American engineering when owning a Cadillac had become a symbol of financial success and achievement and cost almost $1,000 (in 1969!) more than the Oldsmobile 98 or Buick Electra 225 and $500 more than the top-of-the-line Buick Riviera!

The car drives almost like it must have when it left the factory floor over 44 years ago - obviously always well maintained and garage kept since new considering it's lovely condition and completely rust free body with no sun damage! The car looks very striking with one repaint in it’s original color and the original engine is extremely strong and powerful with a reported 37K original miles as stated on the Arizona title and judging by how this particular car drives and looks, we believe it - must be driven and seen to be fully appreciated - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles! The car also has it's original Cadillac radio.

This is a great opportunity to own a rare and unabused example of an obviously always garaged 1969 Cadillac Calais 2 Door Hardtop Coupe with absolutely no signs of any rust or any accidents. This is a very rare example of one of the most desirable years of production of this decades 472/375HP big block Cadillac and a great investment that's sure to appreciate over the years for any American classic car collector of obviously any Cadillac enthusiast!
