In 1966, the 427 cubic inch was introduced in the Corvette and all 427 engine cars received special hoods. The high performance solid lifter 427 was initially listed at 450HP but for reasons unclear the rating, not the actual output, was reduced to 425HP shortly after introduction. It is also of note that some 390HP engines were rated at 400HP. Backup lights became standard and were incorporated into the existing rear inboard taillight housings.
The car has no signs of any major accidents and is the beneficiary of an obviously recent beautiful repaint in it's original 'Rally Red' factory color and looks extremely striking with a Black interior and soft top. The car must be driven and seen to be truly appreciated - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any modern day sports car a run for it's money! The 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and the temperature always remains cool!
This is a rare opportunity to own a great daily driving and never abused example of a single owner car since new of this last and most collectible year of the second generation Corvette, a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette 427/390HP Big Block Roadster with PW, Positract rear end, 4 speed manual transmission, Tint & aluminum bolt on wheels!
This is one highly desirable and collectible unabused example of one of the best styling efforts of the decade, a genuine grand touring car in every sense of the word, this shortest lived Corvette design (1963-67) is probably the most sought after apart from the 1953-1958 models and they are seemingly increasing in value and desirability each year!
This particular one owner until 2018 example of a Big Block 1967 Corvette Roadster with desirable original 'Rally Red' color paint and Posi rear end matched to a 4 spd trans and being sold with its original sales invoice (not a copy), Protecto-plate and owners manual is sure to prove a most worthy investment for any Corvette collector or classic American car enthusiast!
