The 1963 Eldorado Biarritz was Cadillac's top-of-the-line convertible model and a large luxurious Cadillac built in this particular bodystyle for only four years (1961-64) with slight re-stylings each year and no primary competition in its category. New styling for 1963 (known as the 6th generation of 1963-64) brought a return to a slightly bulkier looking car however less sculpted body sides imparted cleaner overall styling and therefore the new 1963 Cadillac arguably looked more elegant, particularly in the sparsely chrome trimmed Eldorado.
Only 1,825 of these exclusive and luxurious Eldorado's were built and are now a very rare automobile, compared for example with the Series 62 convertible with some 17,600 built. It could easily carry six people and had a power top for the first time and also featured the 390/325HP V8 engine. These were the final years of the rear wheel drive Cadillac and amongst the best of the breed. With these rare mid-sixties models becoming increasingly thinned out now, these last year Biarritz models are now being appreciated by Cadillac enthusiasts more than ever before as an increasingly desirable and collectible Cadillac from its very best years!

This particular example in extraordinarily fine condition throughout and was sold new on 11/30/1962 at 'Marvin Brown Cadillac' of San Diego, CA with it's original dealers stamped 'Cadillac Owner Protection Plan' and owner's manual still in superb 'time capsule' condition and still boastsing it's original California 'Black License Plates'. The car is reportedly recently acquired from long term southern California ownership, who would have to politely be considered mature owners, and who apparently always garaged and loved the car as is apparent from it's phenomenal condition throughout.

The car boasts absolutely exceptional original factory 'Aspen White' color paint and the very striking 'Beryl' (Blue) leather interior has been faithfully restored. A
t $6,609 before options, this was Cadillac's most expensive 1963 offering apart from the extended wheelbase Fleetwood 75s. Standard options included power vent windows, 6-way power front bench seat, automatic transmission, power brakes and steering and power top and with this particular example even better equipped boasting added factory options including factory air conditioning, Autronic Eye headlight dimmer, power locks, power trunk, 6-way tilt steering, rear speaker & cruise control! Even the top boot cover is 'Beryl' matching the sumptuous all new 'Beryl' leather upholstery, its all original real wood trim on the door panels, matching new 'Beryl' vinyl top and matching carpets and its original spare wheel and jack are in their all original trunk compartment with a very rare original trunk carpet and spare wheel cover etc, still all intact as in 1963!

The floor boards, trunk and all the typical rust-prone areas are completely solid and rust-free and the car has no signs of any accidents - obviously an always garaged southern California car since new and
a superbly handsome & razor straight car that has been restored only as required through the years.

The car has it's original matching # 390/325HP V8 engine matched to it's original 'Hydra-matic' automatic transmission. This particular car drives absolutely magnificently - it must really be driven to be fully appreciated - does not miss a beat and purrs like a kitten - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any modern day car a run for it's money! The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and the car has four virtually new wide white wall tires. Please note that the car also has it's original spare wheel and tire and original jack as previously stated and all the options are working as they should including the air conditioning!

This is a rare opportunity to own a fully loaded and great daily driving and mostly all original and completely rust free example of an original southern California 'Black License Plate' 1963 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible with factory air conditioning ! This is the perfect car for the Cadillac enthusiast to add to any serious collection or simply a great daily driving and turn-key ready example of one very fine 1960's all American legendary classic car for any classic American classic car collector!
