The car also has a date correct T10 BW 4 speed manual transmission dated 12/31 with the tail shaft dated 1/6/58. The Positraction rear end is dated J217 and stamped AH 1108 with 3.70:1 gears. The engine has restored carbs and the correct dual quad air cleaner, upper and lower ignition shielding, correct radiator, hoses and clamps & correct tach drive generator.
The car boasts what appears to be an accident free body with original bonding strips intact and with re-chromed bumpers and which is finished in Base/Clear coat Corvette correct 'Snowcrest White with Silver Blue Coves' matched to a 'Silver Blue' interior and it's original factory 'Snowcrest White' hardtop. The car was ordered Soft Top delete. The car has all an all new windshield and windshield weatherstripping with the windshield posts having been re-chromed. As stated this car has a phenomenally straight and beautiful original body with all bonding strips intact. The under carriage is very original with bare natural fiberglass floors. The car has factory wheels and hubcaps with Whitewall radial tires and the 'Silver Blue' interior was restored with new seat covers, dash pad, door panels and Daytona carpet and is all consequently in as new condition throughout. The car boasts it's original and optional very desirable CU code 270HP/283 ci engines with 2x4 carb, 4 speed manual transmission and metallic brakes and that there was a total production of only 3,764 with 4 speed manual transmission. The engine number is F226CU which would be correct for the car. The floor boards, trunk are completely solid and the undercarriage frame is rust - free and the car has had no signs of any accidents - obviously an always garaged and cherished car since new from the looks of it!
