The Pontiac 'Silver Streak' offered here is an example of the larger, better equipped and more expensive and luxurious example of the two six-cylinder ranges, the Deluxe, which for 1939 was built on a 120" wheelbase chassis and powered by a 222.7 CID (3.6-litre) sidevalve engine producing 85bhp. This rare model is a beautiful example of the late 1930's market for large, expensive motor cars which had almost all but vanished and only buyers that were very well connected were able to acquire such vehicles, which were in very short supply due to WWII. A wonderful opportunity to acquire a rarely seen and stylish, soft-top example of classic 1930s Art Deco Americana with styling by by noted designer Franklin Q. Hershey.
This particular car has been beautifully restored and finished in a striking 'Burgundy' color with a contrasting Red interior with a rare dual rear seat configuration and a Tan convertible soft top.
