This 1929 Ford Model 'A' 2 Door Sports Coupe Roadster with the optional factory Rumble Seat had received a professional frame-off restoration and is presented in a striking 'Green' with a Black beltline, fenders and running boards. The car is powered by a date correct L-Head four-cylinder engine paired to a floor-shift three-speed manual transmission. The car rides on Black wire wheels mounted on Firestone tires. The spare tire is rear mounted behind the Rumble Seat. The car runs a 6-volt electrical system, and all lights and gauges are in working order. Inside the car features a tailored Black interior with individual seating for two. The wood floor of the car is covered by a floor mat in the seating area and exposed in the back. Additional period options include a Sparton horn and a rare Flying Quail Chrome radiator cap.
Former museum-kept quality Model A roadster with an older frame-off restoration to original specifications. This 1929 Ford Model A rumble seat roadster is powered by a rebuilt 201cid 4-cylinder engine with mechanical timing, mated to a factory 3-speed sliding gear manual transmission. The all-steel Henry Ford body and fenders are finished in Black and the interior was reupholstered in Black, while a new Black soft-top keeps the weather out when needed.
This 1929 Model A has all the features that made this model the jaunty, sporting choice of Jazz Age drivers; whitewall tires on upgraded, Black Ford wire wheels, Ford Flying Quail mascot with wings, electric Sparton horn, rearview mirror, rumble seat and rear mounted spare. A functionally correct restoration, its cosmetics and mechanical condition are a credit to the history and significance of the Ford Model A.
This handsome 1929 Model 'A' Sports Roadster was formerly part of collection with the L-head four-cylinder engine, which is period correct in presentation and runs very well, obviously having been rebuilt at an earlier date. This rare all 'Henry Ford' steel Model 'A' presents extraordinarily well due to its professional frame off restoration and with its striking Green exterior with Black beltline rib and Black fenders.
A very striking with nothing-overlooked, no-shortcuts restoration with exceptional paint and chrome, wonderful upholstery, dash and instruments and a lovely chassis and engine. This is a beautifully restored example of a rare body style and would prove a great asset to any serious Ford collection.
