WEST COAST CLASSICS are proud to present an absolutely exceptional and beautiful restored example of this 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2 coupe which was born with a 289 2V 'C' code V8 engine with a manual transmission, Ivy Green Metallic paint, a standard Parchment interior with Rosette vinyl and which has been restored in 'Candy Apple' red with a black vinyl interior with a plush interior Decor option trim which includes plush door panels with integrated molded arm rests and 'Pony' front seats, a deluxe steering wheel in simulated walnut studded with eighteen bright recessed dots, brushed with metal spokes pierced with 12 circular holes, the optional 'GT Package' with dual exhaust system with bright chrome extensions through the rear valance panel, 4"fog lamps mounted in grille bar, GT badges on front fenders, GT stripe running front to rear along the lower body with MUSTANG spelled out on fender behind front tire, 'Rally-Pac' 5 dial instrument cluster which straddles the steering wheel with a clock on the right side and a tachometer on the left, GT ornamentation, unique GT gas cap, a center console with a 4 speed optional manual transmission and 14" styled steel Mustang wheels with honeycomb chrome centers and whitewall tires.
It was sold in 2009 to a southern California owner by a long time California owner who had restored the car and rebuilt the engine and repainted the car in a very striking 'Candy Apple Red' color paint. There is no evidence of any rust or accidents.
In any case, this car must be seen and driven to be fully appreciated - a seriously striking example which turns heads wherever she goes! The engine is extremely strong and responsive with excellent oil pressure and no noticeable oil leaks and which sounds absolutely magnificent, the transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool.
