Purchased on 3/11/1999 by original owner from 'Lee Johnson Chevrolet' of Kirkland, WA and immediately shipped to his home garage in Hawaii, where it remained covered and babied since then, until recently shipped to the U.S. with original dealer manuals and copy of the window sticker available!
Obviously always garaged and owned and driven by only very careful and mature driver's since new - never abused - babied all the way! The car's factory options include: Camaro SS Performance/Appearance Package (Cost $3,700) with electric rear window defogger, Monsoon Premium Audio System, and the Z28 Preferred Equipment Package (Cost $1,591) including Electric Speed Control with resume, Remote Hatch Release, Fog Lamps, Power Door Lock System, Power windows, Electric Twin remote mirrors, Leather wrapped steering wheel, Remote Keyless entry, 6-way power seats, theft deterrent alarm system, carpeted floor mats and Chrome plated Aluminum Wheels (Cost $799). This particular model must be seen to be believed and driven to be fully appreciated - the car drives as good as it looks with the Chevrolet Camaro SS's famous sport car ride on fat 275/40 tires and a sport tuned suspension and 9x17 inch wheels. The aluminum LS1 engine featured ram air on the SS to help boost power from the usual 305bhp. Floor mounted shifter and analog gauges complete the SS's homage to the 60's muscle machines that inspired it and muti-point fuel injection, engine management and excellent torque propel the Camaro SS to 0-60 in a shade over 5 seconds and to an impressive top speed of 161mph! It is one of Chevrolet's fastest muscle cars of all time!
The engine is extremely strong and responsive with no oil leaks, the transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the temperature always remains cool. Drives virtually like a new car - you could hardly tell the difference! This is one very unique and comfortable sports car and with only 11K original miles, this must surely be one of the finest and very rare example's of this unabused maturely driven model which was always well maintained and serviced and garaged and covered since new!
