ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA 'BLACK LICENSE' PLATE 1966 FORD MUSTANG 289 A CODE V8 COUPE!!
West Coast Classics are proud to present a rare original southern California and still boasting its original coveted California 'Black License Plate' 1966 Ford Mustang 289 'A' code 4 barrel 2 door coupe which was built in Dearborn, MI on March 7th, 1966 and delivered to Los Angeles, California and always obviously garaged, loved and owned since new by only two southern California owners!
The car has a rebuilt 289 4V 'A' code V8 engine and is still presented in its original and very rare 'Sauterne Gold Metallic' (Z Code) color paint with it's original color interior upgraded to a matching tan 'Pony' interior from its original 'Black Crinkle Vinyl' standard interior. The car came factory equipped with air conditioning that has been removed at some point (with the original compressor to be sold with the car), power steering, original C4 automatic transmission, AM Radio and a center console. The car also has a tan vinyl top and a Deluxe instrument panel with wood grain inserts!
We recently purchased the car from the second southern California owner who had owned the car since 1994 and who lovingly and with no expense spared restored and maintained the car over the years and the car will be sold with a thick file of records from this second owner. The car drives as nice as they come with no known mechanical issues whatsoever. The car has has no signs of any accidents and there is no rust. The car has a spare wheel and jack in the trunk as seen in the photos below.
This particular car must be seen and driven to be fully appreciated - a seriously striking example which turns heads wherever she goes and which has won several local Car Shows (see trophy's in photos below!) showing pride of ownership through the years! The engine is extremely strong and responsive with excellent oil pressure and no noticeable oil leaks and which sounds absolutely magnificent, the transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool.
This is one very nice and original southern California 'Black License' Plate 1966 Ford Mustang 289 V8 Coupe in this very rare original color and a wonderful daily driving example of this increasingly collectible and desirable of Mustangs in turn-key ready daily driving, daily head-turning, and daily appreciating condition!
